Samsung 226BW
a couple of days ago while i was searching for the samsung 226 BW on the internet to find reviews about it , I've found some users complaining about thier monitors saying it has less picture quality than the rest of the 226 bw products and he posted a link for this website which contains further explanation

It seems that there are 2 Versions of the 226BW the S Version and the A version which seems to be the one with the problem
u can check the label on the back of ur monitor to know which version do u own
but some say they own the S model and has the same problem so the best way to know which one u have is to check for ur panel type by the following method
- Set contrast and brightness to 0
- Press the « Menu » button
- Press the « Source » button for 5 seconds (the second one on the right)
A hidden ''Service Function'' menu will appear including Panel Info on the bottom which clearly indicates the panel’s origin and reference.
The A version has AU written beside its pannel info while the S version has AML CD 220M1

the Problems with the A version were
Problem n°1 : the A has a noticeable dominance in blue. This isn’t great for a screen that is supposed to have particularly good color fidelity.
Problem n°2 : they have a backlighting problem, which is evident on black images. For lighter ones, there is a white bright halo on the lower half of the screen.
Problem n°3 : the AU Optronics M220EW01 reference corresponds to a panel with a 5 ms response time.

So what do u think about this problem ??
